Moosehead Pale Ale was our first beer to be branded Moosehead. ‘Moose Red,’ as it is referred to in the Maritimes, has a recipe dating back to 1931 and has a loyal following.
A true top-fermented ale, Moosehead Pale Ale is medium bodied and fermented at warmer temperatures to impart its floral aromatics.

Appearance: Clear golden colour, moderate white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: Faint. Some crackers, fruity hints. Distant hop. Taste: Light sweet, crackers and biscuit of malts, floral and grassy notes. Light ending bitterness. The ending is pretty short. Not much going on in the aftertaste. Mouth feel: Light to medium body, average to lively carbonation. Summary: Feel industrial still a well drinkable stuff.

Dark amber with a large head. Sweet and tangy with floral and fruit hops. Medium finish and body. Better than I expected.

473ml can. Pours a crystal clear amber-gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Faint, sweet aroma of grainy malt and corn. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, corn and grassy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and soft carbonation. Not terrible, as it is easy to drink and thirst quenching, just boring.

350ml bottle. Malty grainy beginning. Easy to drink, grainy floral fruity. The malty body is quite deep with nice red fruity aroma, moderate bitter, refreshing and grainy in the aftertaste. Nice balanced, grainy refreshing.

Pale ale? Yeah, right..... Grainy aroma with apple, slightly vinous. Thin, flowery, somewhat perfumed flavor with apple. No sign whatsoever of hops. Poor.
