Can at the Maple Leaf, Covent Garden (Palace v The weed) - pours almost clear gold with a white head and lacing. A suggestion of vague citrus fruit, sweet malty base, light to medium body, subdued hoppy bitter close. Basic stuff.

16 oz can from Boise Co-op. Medium golden pour with nice one finger fluffy head. And that's about as good as it gets. Grainy aroma, wet paper notes.Taste is more of the grains and paper, with a hint of cooked vegetables. Not much different from a lager. American golden ale? not sure if that fits either. Not that good...

Pours crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 fairly dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, pear, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, pear, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, lemon, pear, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good American blonde ale. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Was expected an APA when I bought it. Probably the same malt/hop bill as their lager, with ale yeast instead. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

355ml can into glass. From Canada but for the Chinese market. Clear golden amber beer with fulsome white head. Nose is understated fruit and bread. A few bubbles. Flat mouthfeel, A bit of malt, a hint of hops (not much). Slight touch of grain at the end. Ordinary, old-fashioned but drinkable.
