Fluffy white head left a cover on a very active, oraque, light golden body. Minimal aroma of wheat & grass. Medium to thin bodied. Not much carbonation on the palate & a slight tingle on the back. Dry. Very little flavour on the front, just a dull maltiness. This followed by a tangy lemon & floral back.

0.5l can from a supermarket in moscow, brewed in münchen. pours a clear pale golden with a big frothy white head. aroma of hay, spicy malts, a hint of honey -- typical helles. flavour of grass, hay, bread. smooth, easy drinking.

On tap at the Golden Hind, Cambridge. Light gold, with lots of visible carbonation. Sticky grainy malt aroma with some doughy biscuit notes and a hint of citrus. Sweet malty taste with envelope glue, soft orchard fruit, honey. Sweetness lasts throughout the aftertaste without that unwelcome acidity so common in big-name lagers. This is a decent Helles, one that grew on me over the course of the drink.

Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is hops, sulfur, eggs?, toasty malt. Taste is an awkward sourness with lots of tart hops. Somehow off and not good.

Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Carbonated golden lager with a thin head. Clearly continental with its German malt and maltiness.

Eigentlich eines der alt-ehrwürdigen Münchner Brauhäuser. Nach einigen Verkäufen und Zusammenlegungen bei AB Inbev gelandet. Das muss nicht unbedingt heißen, dass es ein primitives Industriebier ist, das einfach flach schmeckt um einehohe Drinkability zu liefern -bei diesem ist es aber genau so. Kann man trinken, aber mir schmecken andere besser.
