It is, quite simply, a wonderful beer. It is exceedingly pale (21-22 units colour), with just a hint of colour in its cheeks from the dash of crystal malt. It has a massive orange fruit aroma from the challengers, balanced by
biscuity malt.

Juicy malt and tart hops vie for attention in the mouth while the finish is tart and hoppy but well balanced by creamy malt. The bitterness rating is a substantial 36-38. The tangy fruit lingers on the back of the tongue until it develops a hint of orange liqueur.

Malt - Maris Otter pale malt and crystal malt
Hops - Challenger

Golden orange color with medium white head that settles quickly and leaves scant lacing. Aroma of pepper and malt. Nice hoppy bitterness throughout, medium body, esy to drink. Good example of the style.

6th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Well balanced - perhaps tipping just a little in the hops favour. Inoffensive but pretty bland.

Cask @ You´ll Never Walk Alone, Kolding, Denmark. Clear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, moderate toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (250408)

Cask @ Old Toad. what a beer! a great english bitter. Zangy hop taste, with a wonderfully challenging bitter finish. I would drink this over most other beers on tap at my local english pub. Taste goes a little flat and dry, but that probably because im drinking it in america.
