Bottled. A very sour tasting beer. Pours a reddish color with a soury aftertaste. Not too bad.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Dark brown brew with an excellent ingridients like hiney and raisins and some hints of dried fruits.

Honeyish, sugary aroma with a touch of coffee. Sweet, honeyish, caramelly flavor with pear and a hint of coffee. Thin with an upcoming sourness. Disappointing.

11/11/2018 @ sample of 33cl bottle @ Vergeten Bieren tasting, Brouwerij Smisje. 2009 version. Clear red colour, medium white head. Nose is malts, bit port, fruits. Taste is malts, bit honey, ripe fruits, bit creamy feel. Still very nice.

’Massive ale’ celebrating the renowned Flemish poet Guido Gezelle, customarily presented in stone cups citing his poetry. Yellowish white foam, deep reddish brown colour. Sweet fruity smell of raisins, plums, pear, cinnamon, honey (effectively used), caramelly taste with sweet raisins, faintly sugary, malty, spicy and yeasty with sourish hint almost reminiscent of an oud bruin, light bitter finish.

A magnificent piece of Belgian brewing art. Strong blond beer with honey, raisin and lots of spices. Very sweet, but with a complex and malty body. Very good.

(bottle, 33cl, gushing) Hazy, dark amber coloured turbid hue with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and caramel-malty aroma with notes of candy, honey and red berries. Sweet, slightly sugary flavour with a tinge of sourness in the background, medium to full bodied with a lively carbonation. Slightly sugary cara-malty base with notes of candied fruits; sweet malty and fruity finish with a noticeable alcoholic touch and a late arriving level of bitterness. Okay, but a tad too sweet and gushy for my liking. 29.III.12

Bottled@Belgobaren, Stockholm. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is spices, honey, raisins and some slight notes of alcohol and mild resiny notes as well. Flavour is spices, honey, mild yeastyness as well as some raisins, sweet malts and mild notes of alcohol. Wellbalanced and quite pleasant.

Bottle @ home. Gusher! Nice red-brown color, small white head. Decent smell and taste; light sour, light bitter, light spices. Medium body and carbonation.
