Keg at Captain Cooks, Östersund. This was surprisingly lovely. Aroma isn't so rich. Appearance is lovely gold. Taste is some sirup but mostly this classic jämtland almost sweet milky flavour. Easy going and had two in a row happily.

Keg at Captain Cooks, Östersund. This beer felt either full of interesting flavours or a bit off a mess. Highly spiced aroma. Deep mahogany colour. Grassy / bark bitterness. High abv is a shame.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a solid, beige head. Nose is toffeeish and buttery. Medium body, same as above - toffee and butter with a subdued bitterness. Disappointing to find a beer this buttery from such an old and normally solid producer. 170124

Sample (thanks omhper!). Honeyish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, some mild wooden tones with a bit sulphury elements. Flavour is herbal, some floral and mild salty tones with some sweet grains as well.
