Bottled. Amber colour with mediumsized creamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is yeast, earth, sweet malts, some spices and wood. Flavour is very much the same with the wood and sweet malts more in focus. Aftertaste is quite earthy.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm (6%). Clear amber, small head.Pleasant almondy yeast aroma. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel, though the carbonation adds some spritzyness. Medium bodied with some bitter orange and caramel. A light touch of hay-like hops Finished of with some resin. Well balanced.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Amber colour with small, brief, off-white head leaving almost no lacing. Malty, slightly roasted nose with spicy, dryish notes of dried fruit (apricots, raisins). Slightly roasted taste with balance between malt and fruit, notes of caramel, apricots and dried fruit. Hints of sweetness, mainly dry and spicy finish. Carbonation making it rather prickly. Quite nice, but lacking some character. Not much of a saison actually.

Bottled, 25cl. (1984 vintage, 6%ABV) Clear, carbonating, dark golden beer. Yeast, fruits and cellar in the aroma. The flavor has dried fruit, cellar, hints of beef-stock, some acidity and spices. Medium body and some spices in the finish. Delicious oldie. (060715)

Draft at Lowlander, London. Nice, bubbly white head. Enjoyable and solid overall. Pepper and citrus nose with the yeast fairly evident — coriander and grain notes. Tart flavor of orange peel and sweet fruit along with notes of spices, especially coriander, and toffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Nicely carbonated.

Bottle. Sweet, oxidized, hop aromatic aroma. Very dark copper colour. Big-bubbled white head. 1 month until BB date, but it does not seem fresh. Oxidized flavour.

Bottle: Hazy, amber coloured, mid-sized fluffy off-white head, lacing; stond fruity (oranges) nose, traces of caramel; slightly sweetish grainy-malty start; moderate bitter-sweet flavour; again grainy, slightly sweetish-caramelly finish; medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Well done..................

(Bottle 75 cl) Dark amber beer with some sediment. Nice, slightly perfumy nose and a bit too harsh hoppiness in the finish. 210893

Bottled (BB 11/2005)
Hazy nut brown, not much head. Woody, earthy nose, some red currant berry aroma (similar to Silly Saison). Earthy, woody flavor. Dry mouthfeel. Light to medium-bodied. Refreshing but not very enjoyable.
