Een krachtige bier om de eerste herfst stormen te doorstaan. In de traditie van Nederlandse bokbieren valt onze bokbier op door haar stevige smaak. Zeker niet overdreven zoet!
This is a very malty beer with a light sweetness but also a floral aroma because of its hop profile. A refreshing beer for spring – or even just throughout the whole year.

Draft - Bready and a touch of hop. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Bready, bitter and a bit dry. Simple and decent.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij Culemborg. Clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Malty aroma with some faint hops. Sweet malty taste and a thin body. I guess I just don’t like heller bocks that much

On tap at Meibockfestival Amsterdam 2016. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, tan head. Sweetish-malty, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, honey, some bread and a bit of orange jam. Sweetish-malty, minimally fruity taste of caramel, grains, some honey, bread and hints of orange jam, followed by a short, slightly bitter, grainy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay.

33cl bottle. Muddy copper/brown, with a modest tan head. Smells of malted barley, caramel, some funky citrus and roses perfume. Bitter and a bit stinky, like a bad lager, with some citrus and grapefruit notes.

Bottle label says Meibock. Clear amber colour, generous off-white foamy head, reduces slowly to a flocky layer than disappears, nice lacing. Malty nose, aroma has honey, bread, yeast, apple, citrus, bit soapy. Taste mild medium sweet and bitter, slightly toasted. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste is mild bitter, slightly sweet, hint of pepper.

Gusher, very fast, but managed to catch it with the glass. Huge offwhite head. Clear amber body with strong carbonation. Mealy papery honey aroma, kind of slack and faint, with spicy linoleum notes. Dry-sweet peppery honey and caramel taste with roasty spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Mild, dryish fruity candy and honey aftertaste with spicy mealy notes. Nice, even if very soft and low on bitterness, and kind of subtly understated. Very harmonic and easy to drink. (0.33l bottle, from de Bierkoning, Amsterdam.)

Standard lentebock, sweet, malty and mildly bitter. Not very special, but just nice.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey dark golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Expressionless grainy aroma, a touch of honey. Taste is minimally sweet malty, a touch of honey, bitter hoppy overtones which predominate the finish. Leaves the impression that it would have been better if drunk fresh.
