Murky amber colour, white foam disappears quickly. Lots of wood, red wine, some citrussy, light sweetness, vinous finish. Not bad.

Copper colour with quick fading head. Aroma has some balsamic vinegar notes, mostly sour but with some caramel undertones. Flavour starts out similar with sweet and sour notes. There's some muscat and white port elements too. In the finish the wood really comes through. The residual sugars and the heavy notes of old wood give a slightly nutty feel. It's not far away from a Vlaams Bruin in many ways but has added layers of depth and complexity.
