Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours “biter brown” with mnimal off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is a mix of malts, nuts and hops. In the mouth it is quite bitter but with some underlying sweetness. Hops are the mainstay in the flavours, but there are also malts, rye and marmalade. Some apples come in later leading to a slightly fruity finish. This is decent – would class it more as a bitter though.

Blond colour with lasting foaming head. It's lively and has a light funk. Maybe a light Brett infection but it works well.
