Primary fermented with a blend of Brettanomyces which throws out huge pineapple, tropical and stone fruit flavours, we refermented this base beer with over 220g/l of pink guava and passionfruit. The resulting beer is an astral voyage of tropical fruit and funk.

On tap at Ship Aground, Stafford. I have to admit that I’m out of my depth here – I have no idea what some of the supposed tropical fruits contained in this beer actually taste like ! However, here goes. Pours a cloudy/ murky pinkish orange with a small white head and excellent lacing. There’s mango, melon and tropical fruits in the aroma. Extreme sharpness is what first hits the tastebuds in the mouth, quickly followed by sour notes. Flavour has passion fruit, pineapple, mango and grapefruit (and probably a whole lot of other exotic stuff). Finish is sour and bitter. Way outside my type of beer – but I like it !

Hazy dark orange pur with a lasting white head, aromas of guave, passion fruit, a hint of milk/cream, taste similar with a long-lasting, slightly sour finish. Very good stuff.
