500ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a large head. Aroma is artificial coffee chocolate sweets, slightly burnt. Taste has sweet caramel and bitter coffee.

Dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour remind me of coffee cream chocolates. Sweetish to begin, powdery coffee bitterness in the finish.

Bottle from local Aldi – drank at home. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a large but transient frothy white head. Aroma is mainly coffee, but there’s toffee and cxhocolate there as well. Pretty similar in the mouth where milky coffee dominates, with bsome malts and biscuits lying underneath. Has more bitterness towards the finish. Decent but not outstanding.

[50cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell.] A glossy black pour with a tawny glint and a sparse off-white head; aroma of coffee and cinder toffee; sweet coffee taste with some traces of malt; and a dry finish with coffee grounds and a milky stout aftertaste. Not a great stout.
