Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with an enormous creamy beige head that lingered forever and left exceptional lacing. The aroma was dryish and malty with a bit of toasty malts, faintly bitter and had notes of vanilla, lactose and toasted caramel. The flavor was toasty and somewhat bitter with notes of coffee, lactose, vanilla cream, and a touch of wood. long finish. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Solid.
