American hops give aromas of pine and citrus with floral undertones; while English floor-malt provides flavors of toffee, caramel and a touch of toasted sweetness.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is hazy light brown/orange with nice sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with decent retention and nice sudsy lacing. Aroma is caramel malts with fruity, citrusy, light resin hops. Taste is similar to aroma though malts are less strong; lightly sweet at the beginning but bitter, resinous second half dominant. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and dominant bitter over sweet finish. Overall, a little more to the hoppy side, particularly the bitter hoppy side, than I would have liked.

Pours hazy deep gold into a tulip. Offwhite head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet and sour malts and butterscotch aromas. Soft with dough, butterscotch and caramel upfront turning to bitter earth and slightly cloying resin in the medium length finish.
