It is the rural note of this beer, delicately spicy and semi bitter, from fine summer barley with a special freshness, from the mountain spring water of the Ellertal.

Klare goldgelbe Farbe; gemischtporige, relativ stabile Schaumkrone.

Bottle 0,5ltr bought in Bamberg: Not so good Franconian to watery, not so sweet and hoppy at all.

Tap at Fr Bierfest. Pale golden, fine carbonation, light herbal and citric nose, light mellow chewy body, grassy hops on dry grains. Quick finish, a bit light.

Tap at Fränkisches Bierfest. Clear golden. Damp hay, grass. Taste is surprisingly fresh, bit soapy, but rather full body. Drinkable.

Draught at Ma Che Siete, 5/2/24. Clear, bright gold. Large, well-retained, white head. Peppery, herbal-hopped nose with biscuit and a dab of honey. Clean and snappy, very bright. Malty and very nicely attenuated. Big black pepper and dried herbs from the bright, fresh hop. Clean and very well-balanced. Just enough bitterness.

Ellertaler Landbier Hell, Flasche vom Landbierdealer, Hof. - Dunkleres Goldgelb, blank. Langer Nachtrunk. - Kernig gehopftes fränkisches Landbier, sehr schmackhaft wenngleich nicht völlig rund. (14.6.2022.)

Avoids the most common pitfalls of these beers, but it is essentially a different style. It’s like a cross between a helles and a zwickl. Clear, but dark yellow. D&S dresden

Bottle at brauerei split with Caesar. Straight from bottle as no glasses were provided. Probably clear golden color. Smell and taste malts, somewhat bitter, perhaps some hop bitterness in there. Alright. 6-3-7-3-13.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Only a slight hoparoma and also a slight hopflavor, just a bit grassy. Fairly low on aroma and flavor, by the way. The maltiness is there, but less as in other Franconian lagers.
