It is the rural note of this beer, delicately spicy and semi bitter, from fine summer barley with a special freshness, from the mountain spring water of the Ellertal.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Only a slight hoparoma and also a slight hopflavor, just a bit grassy. Fairly low on aroma and flavor, by the way. The maltiness is there, but less as in other Franconian lagers.

Botle from Landbierparadies. Hazy yellow colour, white foam. Sweet malty, bready, along with bitter hoppy crispy finish. Very nice Landbier!

500ml Bottle - Golden with a foamy white head. Lime, grass and lemon peel in the aroma. Citrussy and grassy taste with lemon, lime, straw and some faint yet noticeable metallic and bready notes in the finish.

Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty and slightly floral with crackers, white bread, hay, minerals, lemon peal and hints of honey. taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, slightly malty and slightly floral. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet with bready malts and floral honey. Solid but doesn’t quite pop. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ellertaler Landbier Hell on 13 Apr 2016 at 20:21 - Score: 7. Original review text: Tasting @ Work. Solid but not what I hoped for. Very pilsener-like. Would have liked more rustic malts.

Bottled, from Landbierparadies, Nuremberg. Hazy golden, firm head. Grass, dough and notes of bubblegum. Mid dry with medium body and soft, firm mouthfeel. Spicy hops, bready malt and some esters. Mid bitter finish. Very harmonious and moreish.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, getreidig, leicht herb. Geschmack malzig würzig, getreidig, minimale Bitterkeit.

Average beer. Poured golden with a white head. A decent beer, but not so refreshing or anything special.

500ml bottle. Clear yellow with small white head. Far from intense hay and malt aroma. Light bodied, very mild, some malt, some dryness. Decent but nice aftertaste - the only "highlight".

Bottle looks very simple, like a cheap beer. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, modest dry, a bit sourish background. Finish still mild, a bit more malty. Nothing special.
