It is the rural note of this beer, delicately spicy and semi bitter, from fine summer barley with a special freshness, from the mountain spring water of the Ellertal.

Bottled (BB 09/2009). Yellow golden clear color, small white head. Buttery, grassy, grainy aroma. Grassy, grainy, sweet malty flavor. Some "Landbier" qualities, but overall quite bulk.

bottle. Clear, perhaps slightly hazy, golden-brown colour, mid-sized head. Malty-fruity nose, strangely reminding me of Kölsch. Malty with some aromatic hops and a top-fermenting touch. Despite the flavours of roasted malt and caramel this beer reminds me of Kölsch. Interesting and rather quaffable.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized blond foamy head. Sweet mmalty and flowery and fruity (citrus) hops aroma. Sweet flavour with a light but balancing bitterness, light bodied with a crispy carbonation. Soft malty, subtle fruity taste with a quite dry and moderately bitter finish with a pleasant hoppy blend. Enjoyable session beer (16.02.08).
