This brew is a clear purple-mahogany color with a medium pinkish-white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of sweet blueberry, wheat and malt. Medium body with flavors of sweet-tart blueberry, floral wheat and malt. The finish is syrupy-sweet blueberries. Decent overall.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a pink-plum color with a large foamy pink head that lingered and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet blueberry syrup. The flavor was tangy and sweet blueberry syrup and cracker. Medium length finish. Medium body. One dimensional but it works.

Smells like blueberries and medicine. Has a brownish purple hue to it. Taste is tart fer sher but its quite medicinal as well. Strong alky presence. Good co2 but that medicinal backbone does not suit this beer well. Yes, a warming sensation as it goes down the throat begins to happen. I like tart beers but this is almost difficult. Wew. Quite a new spin for me.

$4.10 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours magenta, clear, with a small pinkish head. Aroma is blueberry, light apple. Flavor is slightly medicinal (aspirin), then tart blueberry, light green grass, green leaves. Slightly tart up front, but it doesn't last... but the wet aspirin does.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/13/2017. Pours lightly hazy ruby reddish orange; light pink/purple color with a 2 finger dense light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, pear, red/green apple, red grape, hay, grass, pepper, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, pear, red/green apple, red grape, hay, grass, pepper, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit/wheat tang, yeast spiciness, and light grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, pear, red/green apple, red grape, hay, grass, pepper, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic, and fairly crisp/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is a delicious fruited imperial Berliner weisse! All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty crisp/refreshing to drink; with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Great balance between the fruity Lacto and authentic berry flavors; with a nice wheat malt backbone. Not overly lactic. A very enjoyable offering, and great style example.

Pours ruby into a tulip. Pink head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Blueberry aromas. Soft with sweet blueberry upfront turning quickly to an overripe skin and seed bitterness. Not a Berliner by any means.
