Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: lighter than expected to semi-cloudy yellow color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: some lemony to grassy hops to subtle crisp to tart wheaty tones
Flavor: mildly blends the prior noted aromas together and adds light kiss of the semi-spicy yeasty tone which I think was part of the witbier yeast strain; mild finish of the lemon, yeast, and tart wheat
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also some of the kick of the wit to tell me this is trying to be a witbier
Overall: I believe this was a nice enough effort from an American brewer to execute the witbier style. I'd return to this if I could.
