12 oz. bottle from Wegmans, Niagara Falls. Pours a pitch black color with ruby highlights and a tan head with very good retention. Good lacing. Roasted malt aroma. Similar roasted malt and bitter dark chocolate flavors with a slightly harsh finish. Not as sweet as I hoped / expected with the added milk sugar. Semi creamy mouthfeel. A little TOO dark and bitter for my tastes. Needs more vanilla.

12oz bottle. Pretty much a Milk Stout, fleshed out some by the cacao syrup. Not really a balance that I enjoy, tastes flavored. Drinkable, but turns pastry and thin instead of leaning into some malt depth.

Wegmans bottle. Dare brown with a small beige head. Cocoa, wet dog, dark chocolate, milk chocolate nose. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, roasted malt. A little disjointed, a hint of artificial chocolate candy in there, but not bad.

From a bottle, pour is big & black. Not much of a head. Nose is mild sweet dark chocolate. First taste is more coffee than chocolate. Becomes a little difficult and bitter in the middle. Not sure if I'd call this a smooth symphony or not. It's actually a little annoying for a choco beer. A little mouth coating. Good lacing. Yes, in the end its more like coffee than a chocolate beer. Slightly more bitter than was hoping. Can't find any vanilla in here. Good for a tick but probably would not buy again.

12 ounce bottle. Barely translucent dark brown color. Large khaki colored head is frothy and leaves behind nice lacing. Subtle roasted malt aroma has earthy notes. Flavor leans toward milk chocolate and vanilla. Medium bodied. Finishes with bittersweet chocolate notes.
