0,33 l bottle from our local Metro market. Pours out in darkest red brown, no reddish edges. No head. No carbonation. Fruity smell, barrel wood, hints of red wine. Taste starts sweet malty fruity and very smooth. Getting more boozy in the second part without an alcoholic sharpness. Always malty fruity until the end. More drinkable than expected.

Semmi hab, sötétbarna szín. Malátás, édesgyökeres illat. Malátás, édes, édesgyökeres, fűszeres ízvilág. Testes, enyhén szánsavas, enyhén keserű. Őszintén szólva ez nem nagy szám.

Shared 330 ml bottle, as a bonus at local tasting. Dark brown colour, little carbonation, no lasting head. Aroma of molasses and fusel. Sweet flavour of malts, molasses, caramel, alcohol and fusel, some dark dried fruits.

Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 21.01.17. Dark brown. Almost no head. Aroma of alcohol, molasse, fusel, dark malt and figs. Slightly better taste, with alcohol and fermenting berries lingering on.

Kveldens siste, en nightcap fra Ovesen på RBHD ombord på Fridtjofen jan-17: mørk brun mahogny nesten uten skum. Knekk, mørk karamell og melasse i aroma. Noe bæraktig syre i smaken hjelper litt. "Den reiv i naså", sier Ketil. Bær, alkohol og sødme. Ganske kort ettersmak, men "with a lingering afterburn".

0.5l ceramic swingtop bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This one pours a really deep, quite cloudy dark bronze colored body with only a small quickly sidesticking off-white top. Smells a tad weird. Wet newspapers, lots of bitter nuts, some burned sugar and traces of booze. Not the best aroma I've nosed. By far. It doesn't taste all that nice either to be honest. Lots of sourness. Not sour but more acidic. It's quite thin and a bit flat in the mouth. Traces of old chocolate and burned sugars. The sourness can remind of something lightly smoked. It's not something I feel any urge to drink again. 19.03.2014
