Bottle in Frankfurt. It pours hazy dark brown with a quickly dissipating tan head. The nose is boozy fruit cake, alcohol, dried fruit, cola, spice, treacle and old banana. The taste is tangy, dried berry, booze, cherry cola, dirt, wood, warming alcohol, banana, persistent tart aspect, spice and leather with a hot, dirty finish. Fullish body and fine carbonation. Odd boozy-tangy aspect throughout. Damn hot also. Not great.

Bottle from somewhere, (forgot where) consumed at Haydn & Carol’s Tuesday 4th March 2014 Pours dark conker brown busy carbonation, dark fruits, strong very strong. It is a bit chewy but it is the dark sticky fruits that show the most. Actually just remembered where I got this from it was that place in Citi Europe, Terre de Boissons. It’s fine but I’ve had better Eisboks. A6 A3 T6 P4 Ov12 3.1

A reddish brown bock with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a faint sweet fruity malt with light off notes, sulfur and licorice. In mouth, a sweet lightly acidic malt with weird off notes, still infected.BB O7-14.

Very hazy amber beer, short lived pale cream coloured head. Palate is dry and crispy. Minerals. Strong malt. A little toffee. Trace of smoke. Aniseed alchohol but not too much. Dry finish. Surprisingly inoffensive and fairly well behaved but not great.

Smells like molasses and chocolate, taste is sweet, dried fruits, but appearance and mouthfeel are lacking. No head and very little carbonation, and the mouthfeel is watery for a doppelbock. Sweetness hides the high alcohol content.
