Draught@Beer Hunters. Deep orangeish-amber colour with a mediumsized fluffy off-white head, leaving good lace. Aroma is mild citrus, some sour wood, mild earth and a bit grainy tones. Flavour is citrus, some quite tart and yeasty spices tones. And yes, a backlog, which goes back a good while, but saved in case I get a better sample, but not... so see the ratings of TBone and miksu.

Golden color, cloudy. Sedate aroma, only a hint of fruit. Pear, mandarin and banana fruit in the flavor. Hint of tartness. Mandarin aftertaste. Lovely hefeweizen, very refreshing but not without complexity.

Pours a cloudy orange-ish amber with an off-white head of solid foam. It’s probably a touch darker than the average color of hefes that I’ve tried but in line with the style. Good puffy head. Lots of foam. The aroma is banana wheat sweetness with a nice dash of light lemony sourness. Clove is light but present. Lots of wheaty, sugary flavor. The taste is rather mild, definitely could use a kick. Light sweetness with some wheat spice. Gets a bit watery with a wishy-washy finish. Not as bright as I expected from the aroma. Sort of an off aftertaste. Could be a stale bottle but it got to a local store pretty recently. Feel is smooth with a touch of prickly carbonation, though carb seems a bit low. This beer is mild and a bit lacking. It’s easy enough to drink, but it doesn’t merit a very high spot in my personal hefe rankings.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, fruchtig, bananig. Geschmack hefig, bananig fruchtig, minimal würzig.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, modest yeasty, not too dry. Fine fruity notes of banana. Modest sweet. Well balanced finish. Nice!

Orange with a dense head. Wheat-aromas: banana and fruity esters. Sweet and refreshing ending on a dry note.

Bottled 500ml. -Something was wrong with this beer. Probably infected but BBE is valid yet for almost half year (11.3.2011). While I poured it seemed ok, but it was very dense in the glass and looked like someone put fresh egg in it (or at least yolk). Orange coloured, small off-white head, quite repulsive nose. Sweetish wheaty, light banana and hint of spices with almost no acidity. I’ll try to find this weizen again.

(bottle) Cloudy, bright orange to amber colour with a big and rocky foamy white head. Sweet and moderately wheaty nose with strong clovy spices and very shy fruity notes in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Wheat-malty chewy taste with distinctive notes of ripe banana; the clove character is surprisingly mild; sweet malty and fruity finish with a whiff of sourness. A good Weizen at second sight (14.VIII.09).

Draught@Beer Hunters. Copper-amber color, decent cloudy off-white head. Light lemony, slightly sour-earthy nose with hints of sweet bread. Tart, sweet malty, lemony flavor. After reading Miksu’s rating: we may have an infected batch in Finland.
