Kind of lacking on the crème brûlée - the coffee really stands out.

Tastes like watery cold brew with a hint of chocolate, needs more body, nitro would help?

Bot. Smells like coffee. Taste is fer sure coffee. Coffee coffee coffee. Not real strong and it lacks much of that peppery thing that’s been going around in coffee. A rather mild coffee brew, does not even get close to impy stout status. But I see the alky is over 7% so it hides it’s alky backside well. Not bad overall.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black color topped by a brief tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee and sweet cocoa. Flavor is light roasted malt with notes of nuts and coffee. Slightly sour backdrop with a touch of nutty coffee flavor in the finish.

12 ounce bottle into snifter; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours a very dark brown color with a 1 finger dense light tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and coffee/vanilla notes; with solid strength. Taste of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness. Minimal roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast toffee, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good complexity, balance, and solid robustness of dark/roasted malt and coffee/vanilla flavors; with a good malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is okay. Definitely thin for a stout, but not horrible. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid coffee cream stout. Good complexity, balance, and solid robustness of dark/roasted malt and coffee/vanilla flavors; and very smooth to drink. Definitely should have been more robust and creamy considering the ABV, but it was pleasantly enjoyable.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown color - almost black - with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was roasty coffee beans. The flavor was bitter and sour with a strong brewed coffee element and notes of vanilla, roasty malts and a touch of floral hops. Long sour brewed coffee finish. Medium body. Nice.
