It’s that time of year for Oktoberfest and TurnStation has a new beer on tap to celebrate. We like to have fun and put some meaning into our beer names, and this one honors a neighborhood favorite and serviceman.
Troy Kenning is a huge supporter of the GlenOaks neighborhood. Many know him as DJ TRoy, but Lt Col Troy Kenning’s day job is a slight departure from mixing beats.
Troy is the Combat Mission Support Flight Commander for the 123rd Special Tactics Squadron at the KY Air National Guard. His unit provides essential combat control, pararescue and surveillance operations. Their skills are on public display during Thunder Over Louisville as they parachute in for the festivities. Troy’s next adventure will take him and his family to Stuttgart, Germany for a one-year assignment where they plan to conduct extensive research on the culture, particularly schnitzel, streusel and German beer in their down time. We honor his support of the neighborhood and dedication and service to our country in naming this beer.
