Brewed by Hijos de Rivera’s Brewmasters in the only Company’s brewery placed in A Coruña. It is one of the longest-matured Spanish lagers.
Bright amber color. Roasted malt aromas with caramel and coffee notes. Hop aromas appear as light floral and herbal notes. Roasted flavors and a gentle and balanced warm mouthfeel.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 18, thanks to Mike. Pours clear copper, foamy off-white topping. Sweet caramel aroma, which continues to taste, fairly light body. Taste seems more in tune with a sweet doppelbock. Not too bad.

Color ámbar, con poca espuma blanca. Carbonatacion media baja. Aroma muy liger donde destacan las notas herbales del lupulo. Sabor correcto y equilibrado, pero le falta potencia y cuerpo. Lager estandar, aunque mejor que la mayoría de la competencia. Dentro de las industriales españolas es de las mejores.

From the tap at Mariluz, Oviedo, Spain. Pours intense gold with very fine white foam. Crisp. Aroma is bready, nothing more. Body is average. Taste is sweet at first. Write some bitterness coming out in the finish.

330ml bottle into schooner glass (as 1906 Reserva Especial). Faint aroma of cardboard, maybe some fruit? Golden bronze beer with thin white head and high fine carbonation. Medium body, slight zing in the mouth. Finish is distant smoky malt with a touch of sherbet. Even for a Vienna lager this is a bit ephemeral, not a lot going on here. Easy drinking, though.
