Orange brown color, cloudy. Honey aroma, sugary sweet flavor with some coffee bitterness and and yeast. Uninspiring.

Dubbel with chestnut colour and thick, stable head; malty profile, nutty, caramel, dried fruits, sweetish with aromatic hops, medium bitter finish. Okay but not that exciting.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful chestnut coloured with a warm, red glow. Creamy head that leaves a pretty lacework. Weak caramelish nose. Lightly, sweetish caramel in the flavours. Soft, sweetish and lightly vinous - no real bitterness. 290705

Yellow-brown head, fast gone; cloudy orange-brown beer. Strange nose, reminiscent of deep-frying fat & pickles; must be some acid here - fatty acids? Dark malts obvious. Sweet and sourish taste; grains, wood, point of (I think lactic) acid; bready finish. Sticky MF, well bodied, certain tartness. OK dubbel-brown, just not very exciting.

Hazy cola-brown color, short but lasting head, fair lacing. Loads of dense particles floating around. Weak aroma of roasted malts, some coffee, rye, yeast. Taste is roasted malts, port-like almost (although it is BB june '05), quite sweet. Slightly sticky palate.
