Bottled. A golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and bread as well as a light note of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw and lighter notes of sulphur, and bread, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Key Foods Brooklyn ($11.89): Pours a standard pilsner coloe... gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is grainy, vegetable and has those very German hops predominating. There is a little sweetness in the taste. Dry and slightly bitter German hops. I was actually expecting something a little bit better, but in any case, it did the trick fine.

Draught at the Biergarten. Buttery nose with lots of cereal malts. Flavor is quite bitter—butagain a lot of diacetyl and cereals. Malts are not so sweet, though. Clear, somewhat pale gold. Nice head. Not special.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a white head. Aroma is light grains, touch of grass, hops. A bit standard, plain, drinkable. Relatively clean finish. This was a good representation of the pilsener style.

Bottle sampled at the World Beer Festival Richmond, 6/12/10. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a medium white frothy head. The aroma is nutty with notes of peach, pear and floral hops. The taste is grassy and grainy with some stone fruit notes. Medium bodied. Nice pilsener.
