On tap at the brewery. Pours black. Toast, chocolate, slightly creamy, slightly dusty, blueberry. Medium body. Decent.

Taster pour on tap at Rhode Island Brew Fest. It's a very, very dark brown--virtually opaque black--with thin cap of beige head and light lacing. Aroma is subtle malts. Taste is moderately strong earthy roasted malts and toffee. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty good representative of the style. Not blowing me away but Decent.

Can. pours almost black with a dark beige head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, ash.

Exciting find. Was hopping for a hoppy dark lager style but still happy for brewery. Dark brown pour. Nose is earthy chocolate. Tastes the same with touch of herbs and char and licorice. Thin bodied and smooth
