One of those tasteless lagers you find more and more in German Getränkehalle. Strong odor of grain and sugar. Brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, no doubt, but you just can’t taste it. Bland, grainy, even a bit sugary. No hops, no aftertaste (except some vague apple notes), no nothing. Medium bodied. Forgettable.

Medium offwhite head. Yellow body with carbonation. Malty, floral aroma. Decent and inoffensive. Dry-sweet roasty caramel and grain taste with buttery notes. Surprisingly full-bodied and more taste than expected. Clean, harmonic. Dry roasty vaguely metallic floral grassy hop aftertaste. Very similar to the pilsener, and also good. (0.33l bottle, Presse Buch, Lübeck Hbf.)

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, pilsener golden with a white head. Aroma of malt and brewing cereal. Medium-bodied with lightly sweet, malty accents. Dry finish with a discreet hoppiness. Rather high carbonation. A rather typical pale lager. 031106

(33cl bottle, traded with Jevers Zeuge) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized frothy white head, diminishing into a small layer within a few seconds. Moderately sweet, slightly papery and citrousy grainy nose. Light-bitter flavour, light bodied, lively carbonated mouthfeel. Initially grainy and slightly perfumed hoppy and artificial taste, later dry and light bitter with a slim and short finish.

A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw and a somewhat light struck - the clear bottle syndrome. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of straw as well as notes from a bad hop sort - or is it light struck?
