Bottle. Clear dark gold with a big white head. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malts, grains and honey. Taste of malts, caramel, grains, honey, flowers and minerals. Slightly spicy and sweet. Moderate bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. A very nice Maibock.

Clear deep golden colour, tall frothy white head, good retention, fair lacing. Aroma malts, grain, light caramel. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, toffee, candy sugar. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, bit dusty, light spicy notes, warming alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, decent heller bock.

Barwa jasno pomaranczowa lekko metna, chyba to moj pierwszy majowy kozlaczek niefiltrowany. Smak delikatny slodowy i oszczednie chmielony. Jakby krzyzowka dordmundzkiego lagera z kellerbierem. No i spory plus za kompletnie niewyczuwalny spory alkohol zarowno w smaku, aromacie i w ciezkosci.

pours a clear amber with a medium white head and some lacing. aroma of spices, ginger, grains, caramel, chewed pencil. flavour of ginger, honey, bread, grass. bittersweet grassy finish, some alcohol warmth. a bit like a concentrated helles (or their büble bier), but muffled/dull.

Flasche („Maibock hell“, 50 cl) von einer Getränke-Hoffmann-Filiale, Berlin. - Orangegelb, klar. - In der Nase würziges Karamelmalz von bocktypischer Schwere. - Im Antrunk breite Malzigkeit mit Karamel und einer leicht krautigen, gut abgestimmten Herbe. Leichte Honigaromen und ein ganz zarter Stich Säure lockern die schwere Malzsüße geschickt auf. Für einen Bock gut rezent, doch vollmundig. Im Abgang schwer und ausreichend hopfenherb, wenn auch ohne eindeutige Hopfenaromen (es wird Hopfenextrakt verbraut). Der Alkohol schmeckt deutlich heraus, aber ohne fuselig zu wirken. - Ordentlicher heller Bock, zwar ohne herausragende Aromawerte aber gut komponiert, rund und stimmig; insgesamt sehr trinkbar. Hier waren Könner am Werk. Mit besserem Hopfen hätten sie ein Meisterwerk schaffen können.

Pours pale clear golden with a fine white head. Some lacing. Malt dominated aroma. Also a bit floral and herbal. Medium + body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Malty dominated flavor with some herbal notes. Some alcohol popping up also. Not very fancy stuff, but nothing wrong with it.

Fles 50cl thuis. Wat zoetig, maltig, kruidig, licht bloemig. (4-2015).

Stereotypical German spring bock, with a creamy, yellowish, dense and stable head and golden blonde, cristal clear colour. Flowery and somewhat sugary aroma with hints of butter and subtle but spicy hops. Taste likewise, soft and a bit buttery, restricted sweetness, smooth, finish lightly spicy hop bitterish. Rounded, refreshing and very thirst-quenching.

Smooth in the beginning. The beer gets Maibock-typical and slightly bitter in the mainpart. Not too deep and slightly sweetish. The aftertaste is smooth, fresh, kind of sharp.
