500ml bottle. Super-hazy orange-brown color with a massive tan-tinted head. Yeasty floral aroma, with a hint of alcohol-laced pungency. After the first sip I’d assume this one has been sitting in a warehouse for eons, devolved and lacking decent carbonation in the mouthfeel. Sweet and sugary, with some solid earthy, bocky yeastiness. There is an odd semblance of quality, it just seems way devolved. A little too strong for it’s own good, the sweetness is almost overbearing. Proof that Maibocks werent meant to be aged, only an MB super-enthusiast could really love this.

0.5L bottle, small stable head with big bubbles, perfect crustal clear golden colour. Herbal hoppy aroma with vanila and a scent of mushrooms, flavour one dimensional, sweet with a strong overpowering presence of alcohol with just a touch of biscuity flavour coming through. A contradictory beer and overall quite dissapointing.

bottle, found at my local supermarket. Clear golden colour, large and persistent white head. Bitter-sweet aroma. Full-bodied, intensively malty and sweet with bitter-aromatic herbal hops, that give the beer a bitter-sweet character. The finish contains intensive alcoholic flavours.
