0.5 l bottle from local 'Getränke Hoffmann', best before May 2025. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty aroma of grains and some straw. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of grains, some straw and traces of iron, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Overly boring Festbier, even a bit metallic, would never consider drinking this for Christmas.

Light malty aroma. Clear pale amber, small and short head. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter in the finish. Light to medium body.

0,5 l bottle from our local Getränke Hoffmann. Clear dark golden in the glass, small one finger white head. Grainy on the nose, some caramel. Taste the same, increasing smooth grain, some nuts. Spicy. Nice stuff.

04-02-20 // 500ml bottle. Thanks to my uncle. Clear darker golden. White head. Grainy sweet with plörrigem Ansatz. A minimal metallic offnote. Not balanced. Not smooth. No from me.

Tap, Weihnachtsmarkt Nordhorn. Medium to full bodied. Malty and mango flavor with some hopbitterness. Becomes buttery as the beer warmens up a bit. Goes down smoothly. Bottle 24.02.10. Pale golden color. Soft malty buttery aroma. Malty flowery flavor with hints of butter cookies. Soft flowery hopbitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Many thanks for this beer to Mariusz. Piwo ladnie sie prezentuje ma zlocista barwe bliska czeskiego pilsa, Spora i bardzo trwala piane, sporo tanczacych i biegnacych do gory babelkow. Piwo pachnie lnianymi workami na zboza, jest smakowo glownie slodowe, pewna oleistosc olej lniany? nieco sezamu. Potem pojawia sie lekka goryczka.

Mein Weihnachtsbier habe ich kurz vor Ostern 2018 getrunken. Aber da es ein Fastenbier ist, passt es ja ganz gut zum Karfreitag. Es ist ein süffiges, etwas vollmundigeres Bier, da zwar weit von belgischen Äquivalenten weg ist (keine Gewürznoten), aber sehr gut zu trinken ist.

Fles 50cl thuis. Maltig, kruidig, zoeten, toch ook ergens een bittertje. (12-2017).

Bottle 75cl. Limitierte Edition. Clear deep golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, minimal lacing. Aroma sweet malts, grain, caramel, straw. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, grainy, bread. Sweetbitter aftertaste, malty, dusty, medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, rather coarse beer, okay though.

"Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu Weihnachtsbier", Flasche (50 cl) von Getränke Hoffmann, Berlin. - Tief goldgelb, blank, bescheidene Schaumbildung. - In der Nase breites, schwach karamelliges helles Malz, Anklänge an Honig und Vanille. - Antrunk breit hellmalzig-süß mit leicht limonadiger fruchtiger Note. Allzu milde, schwach kräuterige Hopfung. Durchschnittlich rezent, für ein Märzen zu dünn im Mund. Im Abgang sehr schwache Herbe, die in einen unangenehm stumpfen, leeren Nachtrunk mit Anklängen an Blech und Radiergummi übergeht. - Unterdurchschnittliches Festbier, einseitig malzsüß und viel zu belanglos gehopft; anfangs noch recht nett aber zuletzt nur noch schwer genießbar.
