Once the most popular beer in the South, accounting for 80% of beer sales in Kentucky in the 1800s. A light malty, creamy, well-rounded beer, this is one of the few beer styles recognized as truly American.

Can shared by explosivedog: pours clearish brown with a beige head. Aroma is toasty, some caramel notes, and corn. Taste is sweet and low bitterness. Chuggable.

Can. Pours red brown. Biscuit, berry, sweet, lots of grain. Medium body. Pretty solid.
