Bottle@Monks Cafe, Wallingatan. Rubyish brown colour with a small off-white foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is mild sugary tones with some rye bready and toasted elements too. Flavour is wort, with rye bread, some grains, mild sugary sweet tones as well as some toast. Not THAT offensive.

Clear deep ruby brown, huge frothy tan head, receding slowly. Faint aroma, dark malt, sugar. Flavour heavy heavy sweet, malty, sugary, sweetener, watery texture, thin mouthfeel. Traditional Belgian table beer, light malty and very sweet finish (as expected, drinkable when serves cold).

Deep dark brown color. Sweet and sugary. Chicken food flavor. Watery. Not too bad when served very cold. Has nothing to do with a real Faro.

Like many of these old, brown table beers, the term "faro" is used merely to indicate it is sweetened and coloured, but has nothing to do with the equally old-fashioned faro lambics in and around Brussels. This one is a classic in its style, with a very dark brown colour, clear, light maltiness and sweetened with saccharine; bit metallic with the expected thin mouthfeel, sweet and simple but nothing wrong with it in view of its style.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus, Ansjelaah and Joes @ weekly tasting. Opaque very dark brown to black color, small beige head. Not a lot of aroma. Taste sweetish, sugary. Low to average body and carbonation.

Bottle @ joes shared by benzai. Brown colour, no head. Smells farty, manure, sulfur, horrible. Tastes sweet, malty, unfermented, sugary. Smell is way worse though. Thin body, soft carbo.
