Inspired by the coal fired kettles of regional Franconia, Burgenstraße "Castle Road" is brewed with 100% vienna malt and hallertau hops. It's brewed using the traditional franconia style decoction, gleaned from an 1865 translation. We love this beer and think you will too.

Can from The Haus: pours deep gold with slight haziness and bug head. Aroma is biscuity, herbal, noticeable hoppiness. Moderate bitterness, biscuity sweetness and herby feel. Lingering but mellow bitterness in the aftertaste. I was hoping it would be a bit better, but it was still quite a pleasant beer.

16oz can. I guess I would call this a Vienna Lager more so than a Zwickel, but it is a little stylistically murky so I suppose Zwickel is appropriate as well. Wonderful malt tones, pretzely, with just a hint of grist. Medium bodied, but a lot of flavor and depth. Really good.
