The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts a little bit alcoholic, then modest malty. Finish spicy-strong. Good bock!

Bottle, 6.8% at BBF07. Clear dark golden colour. OK semi-stable white head. The flavour has some slightly rough hops, with OK alcohol level. All a standard, mediocre Bock should be.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Pours a clear, fully golden with a white head. Very solid malt aroma. Full-bodied with sweetish pilsener malt and a distinct, bitter finish. 290407

Bottled. A copper colored beer with a huge light orange head. The aroma is sweet and very malty combined with notes of caramel and light notes of straw. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of alcohol and metal, leading to a dry bitter and slightly alcoholic end.

Leichter Schokoladengeruch. Bottle: Deep golden to amber coloured, medium-sized fluffy head, slowly diminishing; sweet-grainy-malty, slightly alcoholic nose with hints of bisquits, some fruitiness in the background; light to medium bodied, sweetish, slightly bitter flavour; sweet and grainy finish with a very faint bitterness. Not the worst Bock, but a bit monotonous.........

(bottle, with thanks to DerDoppelbock) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a small, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet malty aroma with toast-bread and marzipan. Sweet flavour, quite slim bodied malty taste for a Bock with a far too strong alcoholic note which rather reminds me of an European Strong Lager.

Hazy orange-golden beer; off-white head, very fast gone. Rainwater, cookie malt, reedsugar, very fine sweetness. Again rainwater, dead leaves and undergrowth flavours. Malty beer, but resasonably bereft of restsweetness. Thin, watery MF, ending a tad syrupy. A bit disappointing Bock, dull-sweet at the end.

Golden coloured. Malty and full bodied, bitter and well balanced. It has got all the right characteristics for a proper pale bock, but not that extra final touch.
