Only slight maltaroma. A little bit soapy. Malty, flowery taste with some hopbitterness. Bit watery. Average and uninspiring vollbier.

Thanks to quack-duck for that one. Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Starts mild, a bit moldy-wheaty, a bit sourish. Modest dry background. Finish still mild but well balanced. Okay!

Bottled 500ml (PBF, BB 08/2011)
Golden clear color, small white head. Strange aroma of warmed "oven apple".Light to medium-bodied. Blackcurrant, apple, sweet maltyness. Some lingering bitterness. I can drink this but feels a bit unclean.

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, medium-sized white head, that slowly diminishes; light to moderate malty and a bit chalky-dusty nose with some hayish hops underneath; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; shorter bitter - with some citrousy notes - malty finish. Well crafted Helles from Franconia........

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Discreet aroma: delicately sweet malty nose with shy grainy and hoppy notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Pale malt-character with notes of cara-malt, slightly chalky and grainy taste with herbal hops; slightly bitter and metallic finish. Still okay (05.VI.09).
