LAND + WATERS
Farmhouse Ale, 5.8%
Grains: 18% Estate; 100% Virginia
Estate-captured yeast native to our farm (Hope Tree) & Lactobacillus
Foraged Salt Grass and Sea Lettuce from Chincoteague
Estate-grown Pineapple Sage
Virginia farmland and waterways serve as inspiration for this beer. Grains grown on our farm next to the brewhouse, along with grains from fellow small farms in Virginia, combine with foraged salt grass and sea lettuce from the Chincoteague shore. These grains were carefully craft malted in small batch by the amazing team at Murphy & Rude in Charlottesville. The medley was open fermented in our barn loft with estate-captured native yeast from our Hope Tree and acidified with lactobacillus.
After resting for many months in oak barrels, it sat atop estate-grown pineapple sage until it began the final leg of its journey being conditioned in bottles for many months. Over a year in process, we’re excited to share this expression of Virginia’s Land + Waters with you to enjoy.
Collaboration with Black Narrows of Chincoteague and Murphy & Rude of Charlottesville. Product of Virginia.

Lemon and candied plum. Hazy yellow pour without much head. Strange candied sour finish. Like candied lemon or something, like lemon drops cough syrup. Bottle.
