Dark brown colour. Flavour has nice roasted malt with lots of caramel. It’s not overly sweet though. Could drink it all evening.

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with airy off-white head. Very faint aroma of hops and roasted malt. The flavour is of the same quality but definitely more salient. Richly carbonated. Dry finish. Not bad but nothing really extraordinary.

A little disappointing, I was expecting more. The guy on the label seems happy enough...Aroma is almost non-existant, and flavor is just barely there. This would be a good starter schwarz for a novice, but for those expecting a deep, roasted flavor, skip this one.

Dark color with a big, beige, creamy head. A bit more roast in the nose, still quite on the sweet side.

It’s schwarz all right, a pitch black body with a decent head. Soft aroma of barley and little else. Taste is like licking badger hair, or maybe dog hair, like your German shepherd just rain in from the rain. Then, you go down to your wood-lined basement and fish out your rabbit-fur slippers in the cold, damp, autumn dusk. It’s that kind of beer. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
