This crystal clear chestnut coloured beer is crowned with a tight, fine, stable brown foam and affords aromas of roasted malt, chocolate and summer honey to entice your senses. The full-bodied taste is spicy and combines roasted malt, bitter almond, bitter chocolate and coffee flavours with a soft touch of wood and liquorice. The aftertaste is persistent with an integrated bitterness. Notes of espresso, chocolate and caramel linger on the tongue.

Malziger, mehr aber deutlich süßer Antrunk. Im Ansatz durchaus würzig, dies wird aber nur wenig weiterverfolgt, so verläuft dieses Aroma im Mittelteil. Die Süße bleibt dagegen weitestgehend erhalten, wird aberzum Abgang hin deutlich schwächer. Im Hintergrund ist das Bier hier etwas stechend, der Alkohol ist erkannbar, aber gut versteckt. Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Clear amber brown color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly diminshing off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, nutty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, malt sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a dark amber with a vague haze and a small, off-white head. Very alcoholic nose with some caramel. Extremely full-bodied with lots of roasted malt and caramel. Alcoholic finish. 050506

A red-brown beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet and alcoholic with a strong caramel presence. The flavor is extremely sweet with a strong caramel presence.

Beautifully clear, darker chestnut with appetising dark-yellow head. Perfumed, bready nose, sweet nuts, even raisiny, malty to the quadrate. Sweet, but with a slight tart (herb) touch that eases off the worst sweetness. Full-bodied, slick and oily MF. It’s more interesting than most Bocks, but one misses that extra complexity a top-fermenting yeast would have given to such a technically superb beer.

Caramel, burned sugar and a hint of aromatic hops in the aroma. Nice chestnut coloring, lowish head. Heavy roasted malt, caramel and coffeeground flavors, brandy burn towards the aftertaste. Relatively light on body and mouthfeel
