Winged Hussars is our take on a Polish-Style lager that incorporates ingredients grown in Eastern Europe as well right here at home in New Jersey.
This easy-drinking, international, golden lager was brewed with @rabbit_hill_malthouse floor malted pilsner and hopped gently in the kettle for balance with Slovenian Styrian Fox and Polish Lubelski.
After a cool fermentation, this light-bodied brew was transferred to a horizontal lagering tank for an extended period of cold conditioning.
Winged Hussars pours a brilliant, light gold color into a glass and froths with a gorgeous white cap of foam that releases a bouquet of floral, herbal, and spicy hop aromatics.
The flavor opens with delicate malt sweetness that is quickly met and balanced by moderate bitterness and pleasant noble hop character, resulting in a crisp, dry, and refreshing finish.
We get notes of Polish wildflower meadows, spicy herb garden, daisies, marjoram, honey, lemongrass, cracker with black pepper, sweet white corn, and noble hops.

Source Urban: pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is grainy, butterscotchy. Taste is lightly bitter, grainy, some weirdish finish.

On tap at the Philadelphia location. Pours gold. Herbal, peach, jackfruit, something odd and fruity. Medium body. Fine.

Tap at the brewery taproom Philadelphia. A clear bright golden yeloow straw coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is semi sweet cereal, apple grass, imperial pils territory. Grass. Palate is semi sweet, nutty grassy hop, green apple nutty cereal. Punchy oils. Lingering herbal grass.

My 25th Source rating. 16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Bright, brassy gold pour. Huge, frothy white head leaves spotty lacing. Earthy, tangy sourdough malt aroma. Flavor is tart and grainy. Herbal hops balance this one nicely. Crisp and refreshing. Black pepper notes in the dry finish.
