This is a proper English pub beer — brewed with balance and drinkability in mind.
After quaffing back a few pints of this beautiful, reddish-brown ale we are once again reminded how much we adore this often overlooked beer style.
Proper English was brewed with the finest, pale, English, Maris Otter malt, along with a variety of other specialty grains which lend their lightly sweet, nutty, bready, biscuity, toasty, caramel, and chocolatey aromas and flavors.
These wonderful malty flavors are quickly met and balanced by gentle hop bitterness and a kiss of floral and earthy English hop character provided by East Kent Goldings & Fuggles hops.
This classic, British Brown Ale will surprise you with its depth of flavors and relatively light body, and the pleasantly dry finish will offer strong encouragement for another pint?!
We get notes of golden-brown biscuits, toasted bread, Cheerios cereal, chocolate trail mix, toffee brittle, cedar, forest leaves, lightly roasted coffee, and caramel nut roll.

16oz can from Tavour. dark brown pour with a one finger fluffy beige head. Rich, toasty malt aroma, nutty. Taste is more of the same, nutty, toasty with mild bitterness and sweet notes. Creamy, velvety feel. This is what a brown ale should taste like. Super tasty.
