Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a brown body and a light off-white head. Aroma is of marmite, yeast, fruity with some alcohol. Taste is sweet, yeasty with alfalfa (or however it is spelled), berries, and raisins. Light but lively bubbles, decently warming.

A lightly hazed dark resddish brown ale, with a thin moka head. A sweet caramel aroma, maderized porto, chocolate and stewed prunes. In mouth, a sweet candy sugar, with licorice, yeast and warming alcohol. A pleasant dutch barley wine...its a belgian strong! Bottle at In de Wildeman, Nov. 2006. 3.30 euro.

Brown with large off white head. Sweet fruity and yeasty aroma with notes of roasted malt. Sweet flavor that holds roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and fruity notes. Rather full bodied. Ends sweet.

33 cL bottle, 9%. Pours hazy brown with a collapsing tan head. Light acidic to citric nose with a light malty note beneath. Flavour is caramel malty with a nice chocolate smoothness and a light yeast note. Nice lingering and flavourful finish, hides the 9% well though.

Claret coloured with thin disappearing head. Aroma is of dark fruits. Flavour is also represented by heavy, dark fruits. The alcohol is also present. Nice mouthfeel and texture, thick and oily. Clean on the pallet.

Bottle. Creamy off-white fair mostly lasting head. Brown colour. Heavy malty burnt nutty aroma. Heavy sweet flavor. Average syruply finish. Oily sticky palate. Way too sweet and too alcoholic.
