Frothy head. Malty chocolate aroma and flavor. Sweetish with some licorice. Nice and easy beer with enough flavor, but lacks some "bite".

11.2 oz. bottle. As Einbecker Schwarzbier. Pours a clear amber color with a light beige head. Malty aroma. Taste is toasted malt, dark bread, and nuts. Mild finish and a bit thin. Okay.

330 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear deep ruby red/brownish color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light cocoa/coffee, herbal, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light cocoa/coffee, herbal, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light cocoa/coffee, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from hop/roast notes as well. Very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a very nice Munich dunkel style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, clean, and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft as the trendier schwarzbier. Dark brown color, beige coca cola head. Aroma of malted milk balls. Taste has cocoa and coffee, light body. I guess we need a "trendy" tag.
