Brewed in collaboration with our good friends at Leigh on Sea Brewery this is our take on an Extra Special Bitter. A combination of crystal malts give big toffee & stone fruit flavours whilst a hit of late Bramling Cross hops packs it out with notes of blackberry & spice.

Cask, third pint. @CAMRA GBBF Winter Festival 2023, Burton-On-Trent (UK). 17/02/2023 [#5.876 Global - #651 England - #2 Ampersand Brew Co.] Pours orange to amber with almost no head. Aroma: toffee, malts and brown bread. Taste: bready and malty. Light smokey mouthfeel. Kind of sweet slick palate. Next one please!

1/3 pint, gravicask, shared with Finn at GBBF Winter '23. Clear ruby-brown in the glass, beige head, dotted spots on the glass. Light caramel malty aromas, mid-dry. Blended taste profile of caramel malts, dusty hops, and beery-fruits. Bittersweet finish. Pretty decent. (Burton Upon Trent, 16.02.2023).

Gravity cask at the GBBF Winter 2023 Festival, day 2 at Burton On Trent Town Hall, 17/02/23. Chestnut brown with a light beige cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is dusty fruit esters, toffee, brown bread, dark malts. Taste comprises hedgerow, toffee, biscuit, stewed fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Okay stuff.

Cask at the great British winter beer festival. A hazed amber brown coloured pour with a lasting loose beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty, brown own bread, light toffee. Grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet dried fruits, grass, nutty malts brown bread, palate is semi sweet woody, moderate carbonation
