I don’t know the year, bottle generously provided on a whim by OldGrowth on 3.4.06
Nose is strawberry jam and ripe strawberry juice, with some very faint honey and light splashes of light tart, fruit acidity. The flavor is very strong, juicy, sweet strawberry juice, with some very faint caramel-like sugars and touches of honey. But predominantly strawberry juice. Light wash of effervescent carbonation and tartness on end. No alcohol apparency or yeast apparency. Deep rosy-orange hued amber colored body, clear, with a quickly diminishing beige head, light lacing, but ultimately too filtered.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful, clear dark amber with a slight, underlying shade of red. Crude, white head. Slightly tart aroma with a touch of fruit. Pronounced lambic tartness neatly balanced by the sweetness from the strawberries and the strawberry pulp. But still the character is very different from Belgian lambic. Leaves a pleasant tartness on your palate. A surprisingly authentic fruit lambic. 231005

Sampler from bottle at Binny’s, Orland Parh, Not a very Belgian character at all, but very tasty. A good smell leads to a sunny strawberry flaver. Just a little bit of tartness to this old palate. Slight hoppiness keeps this from sliding into strrawberry wine country. Goes down quickly, too.

Bottle. Strawberry and malt aroma. Amber color - slightly cloudy with small head. Sweet-tart malt and strawberry flavor - no bitterness at all and not too sweet. Enjoyable fruit beer

Smells erupt as soon as it’s opened... but it gets to be too much like cheap extract than anything else... as does the taste. The first sip was nice- by the end of the glass, I thought it tasted funky- like a jolly rancher was dropped into a glass of beer. Not worth the price.

A pinkish red beer with a fine lasting off-white head. The aroma is sweet with hints of strawberries and wood. The flavor is sweet but with hints of sourness from the wild fermentation in the background and notes of strawberries and wood.

Outstanding - flavorful and refreshing - light, yet crisp and tart to force you to sip it slow and enjoy it all - tastes like there’s blended strawberries mixed in, very natural flavor - I agree with apoptosis, this is very much like the New Glarus fruit beers, which, of course, is a good thing.
