bottle. decent - no real unique characteristics and about as average as an IPA can be - but even being a drinkable IPA makes it better than most

Pleasant mildly hopped IPA. Crisp and dry as the label says, but not as hoppy as I’d like. Rated 8/14/02

A very subtle IPA. I had some on tap at Ri Ra in Burlington. Nice golden pour with a mild hop aroma. Flavor is quite sweet and the hops are, as I mentioned, subtle. A very tasty little brew.

Golden color, nice lace. The aroma is light. The body is not too strong, the malt flavor neither, the hopping is ok. Correctly brewed, not extreme, English style IPA.
-as Ballard Bitter, 6-5-7-5-14=37
Golden color; nice creamy head and lace. Smooth, malty, hoppy enough. A good silky Golden Ale.

Poured clear deep gold with thin bright white head. It has a crisp hoppy aroma of tangelo to grapefruit with sweet malts in the background. Hey, this is a tasty IPA. I get a grapefruit hop bitterness mixed with floral hints. Behind that is a mild roasted maltiness or maybe even some rye that plays nicely against the hops.

Pours clear amber with a thin white head that has decent retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Mellow aroma of hops and spice. Light-bodied with a mildly floral hops character. Light spices and malt are present too. The finish is not very bitter and it is on the dry side. Passable IPA that doesn’t bother much being interesting.

Looked wonderful with a nice white head and a old copper colour. Aroma of hops somewhat faint. Perhaps the beer is too cold. Maly and a little hoppy, but not the extent you expect in an IPA. It’s not even as hoppy as a Cape ale, more like an pale. Finish a little weak, but not unpleasant. A workaday beer.
