Slight barnyard aroma. Very malty (seems to be the trademark of most Bavarian pilseners). Slight hopbitter finish.

Fast schon laffer Abgang, unstimmig. Danke an den Doppelbock. 8/9/9/7/8/9

Bottle picked up from the Brauerei Andreas Sauer, Gunzendorf, during Fin and Loz’s cycle ride around villages to the South and South East of Bamberg, Germany 19-06-10 consumed 11.08.10 Pours light gold, very pale almost straw coloured in fact. Soft, with cereal and a touch of metallicness going on, sweet and malty but not bad. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle. Corn syrup malt and light grass hops aroma. Golden yellow color with minimal head. Syrupy sweet light malt flavor with bitter weedy finish. Pretty basic and not so great.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Moderately sweet and slightly milky pale malty aroma with a tinge of herbal hops, accompanied by shades of citrus. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. Rather a malt-accented Pilsener with a mild grainy touch and shy herbal hops towards the slightly bitter finish. Clean but not world-shaking. 27.IV.10

Bottle. It’s a clear, pale golden beer with a minimal white head. A bit papery on the nose, with pale malts, fruity hops and a touch of resin. The aroma follows the same pattern, slightly papery with pale malts and fruityness doing most of the work. Medium body, dry. Bitter, woody finish. Sure enough quaffable and quite quenching, that’s it. 090821
