Draft at the Gravity Brewing taproom, Budapest. Poured a dark mahogany, almost black colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, warm boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet and liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, dark chocolate, liquorice, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. Didn’t really get the salt.

150ml draught, from a sample tray at Apollon Tønsberg. Deep black body, dotted spots on the glassware, naked surface. Inviting aromas of roasted chocolate malts, woody. Slightly salted chocolate flavours with a touch of oak. Long-lived finish with smoothly roasted chocolate, not overly sweet. Mostly integrated alcohol. Decent sipper. (Tønsberg, 15.08.2024).
